Yea there’s nothing really new to update on SSO/Days with Shelley’s Stephanie not appearing on-screen for the past two weeks. We’re hoping that changes next week with the Olympics being over and all that, and big congrats to my favorite U.S. Olympians Misty May & Kerri Walsh who defeated China last night in the Women’s Beach Vollyball Finals to take the gold in the first ever back-to-back win in BVB.

I’ll be uploading the Shelley pics from Miss Teen USA 2008 - by the way Congratulations to Miss Arkansas Teen, Stevi Lauren Perry who won the coveted crown.

Also in the lastest SOD there’s a fall preview for Days and it mentions Steph:

Max/Stephanie/Melanie/Nick/Chelsea/Trent:
“A heart broken Chelsea will flee to France to be with her friends, but she is not pleased to witness Nick and Melanie’s new bond. Trent’s shady past is going to catch up to him, and in a desperate attempt to save himself, he will put Max and Melanie’s lives in danger.”

Beauty, Glamour, & Paradise: Let’s Go Backstage - Shall we?

You read right - The Miss Teen USA 2008 Pageant will be kicking off today in beautiful Atlantis! If you check out the Miss Teen USA website they’ve added a feature for you to go Backstage and get to see and know some of the girls and Hilary Cruz the reigning and outgoing Miss Teen USA 2007.

Hilary is your virtual liason between you and paradise. She introduces you to Atlantis and just tells you what the contestants will be experiencing over the next couple of days during tours and rehersals in preparation for the big day.

I’ll keep you posted if I see or hear anything. Good luck to Shelley all the beautiful young women from across the country.

Shelley Mentioned by Days Newcomer Molly Burnett

The Days Insider blog was on hand for the photoshoot of Molly (Molly), Darin (Max), Blake (Nick) and Roscoe (Trent). Towrds the closing of the interview D.I. asked Molly who she was looking forward to sharing more scenes with and this is what she had to say.

D.I.: Is there any particular actor you are looking forward to sharing more scenes with?
M.B.: I just want a chance to work with everybody. I want to test my chemistry out with all the actors, to see what we can bring to the show. But, I have loved working with Darin, Shelley, and Blake, so far. They have been a blast!

Are you enjoying the clashing of personalities between Steph and Mel? Max is going to have his hands full pretty soon.

Spotlight On Completed

I’ve finished the Spotlight On section regarding Shelley and her hosting gig with Miss Teen USA 2008. It was a little hard getting the logo resized just right but I managed to do it and upload it with the rest of the information. The event will kick off 3 days from now in Atlantis, Paradise Island (The Bahamas).

Remember it will not be televised this year as it has been in the past, but I was informed that they will be filming the pageant and it could possibly pop up somewhere online. Let’s hope for that so we can see this life changing event for one lucky girl from across the country.

If I get anymore news regarding where you can watch it - I’ll post it ASAP.

Also, The Spotlight On will change according to the various events Shelley will be seen or involved with. So keep checking that as time goes by.

Editorial Up!

Finally, I got a chance to upload the two scans I was telling you about, huge thanks to Colleen who scanned and sent them in. The Beauty Pageant Winners Common Bonds and Summer of Romance article that had an inset picture of Shelley and Darin.

My deepest apologies for not getting them up sooner - I’m usually prompt with this, I’ve been helping my aunt decorate her classroom in time for school (she starts next week). So they’re in there and we’ll have a lot of downtime since we won’t get to see Stax in Paris for about another week due to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Shelley In SOD

I got my SOD today and Shelley was in it. The soap magazine decided to find the Common Bond between soap opera stars and there’s a lot!

Shelley was listed under Beauty Pageant Winners - becasue she was Miss Teen USA 2004. Speaking of that I still have images I need to upload from I believe when Shelley was crowned Miss Louisiana Teen, but alas they are on my computer at work. I’ll upload them on Wednesday for sure when I go back.
